Anything that intelligent people interested about genetics, genomics, and biology would appreciate.

Submitting your own website, business, or press releases is encouraged, but do not submit material you would otherwise purchase an advertisement to promote. Generally, marketing employees should buy advertisements. Nobody wants community of marketers posting advertisements.

Rules

• If you comment about your own business, research, or website, please disclose your affiliation using your real name and your organizational email, especially if you have no or low karma.
• Using news.thinkgene.com as free advertising or link-building is poor form and is not appreciated. Please buy an advertisement and support ThinkGene.com if you want to advertise. Currently, we use Google Adsense on ThinkGene.com, but we may be willing to work with you depending on your advertising needs.
• Don’t do things to make titles stand out, like using uppercase or exclamation points, adding a parenthetical remark saying how great an article is, or gratuitous editorial spin.
• If you want to add substantial commentary about a link, write a blog post about it and submit that instead.
• Don’t submit so many links at once that the new page is dominated by your submissions.
• Be civil. Don’t say things you wouldn’t say in a face to face conversation.
• Signing your comments with a url or email is OK, but only if your url is relevant to the community.
• If you have a FreindFeed, Delicious, or other similar account that you regularly use and is very high quality, we may be able to integrate your account into news.thinkgene.com for you. Email us and ask.

• Anything that should have been promoted by purchasing advertising.
• Obviously off-topic material.
